About Dylan Owens

I graduated from George Washington University with a Masters in Public Health, two years after earning my Bachelors Cum Laude in Health Sciences at James Madison University as both an NCAA Division I student athlete on the Women’s tennis team and member of the Honor’s College. Through the experience of balancing rigorous academic, athletic, and work schedules, I have developed excellent time-management, as well as strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. My degrees and experiences have prepared me for a career planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating health programs, as well as using both quantitative and qualitative methods to conduct research studies designed to improve outcomes. For the past several years, I have worked with patients, providers, and insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid, to build engagement, overcome vaccine hesitancy, prevent hospitalizations, and improve access to care. I'm passionate about bridging the gap between health delivery systems to reduce and eliminate disparities affecting vulnerable populations.
