About Dylan Pardy

With a Diploma of Education in Electrical Engineering Technologies/Technicians from Durham College, I joined Genecis Bioindustries in 2019 as an Electrical Plant Operator. Genecis is a startup company that produces renewably sourced PHA plastics from food waste, a solution that addresses global environmental challenges and creates innovative materials for various industries. As an Electrical Plant Operator, I gained valuable experience in operating and maintaining the plant's electrical equipment, ranging from PLC panels to high voltage motors and transformers. I also developed skills in data management and analysis, scheduling, and laboratory management, which enabled me to contribute to the quality and safety of the products, the efficiency of the operation, and the satisfaction of the customers. In 2021, I was promoted to Operations Manager, leading a team of dedicated operators who are advancing the science of transforming food waste into high-value materials. I am passionate about solving global environmental challenges and creating innovative solutions that benefit both the planet and the people. As an Operations Manager, I leverage my electrical engineering background, data management and analysis skills, and scheduling abilities to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the plant, the quality and safety of the products, and the satisfaction of the customers. I am also eager to learn from my mentors and colleagues, and to help Genecis grow and scale its impact.
