About Dylan Rantong

Currently I am a senior improvement engineer in the polyurethanes factory of Dow Terneuzen. Previously I have been a process engineer for the chemicals area at Dow Terneuzen. I obtained my MSc chemical engineering at Eindhoven university of technology with specialisation in the Chemical process technology track. My graduation project on “the effect of porosity on particle agglomeration in a liquid injected fluidized bed” was awarded with a 9. I finished my MSc with an internship at the LDPE plant at Dow, where I did a project on purging of ethylene from the storage silos which was also awarded with a 9. In the academic year 2018-2019 I held the position of the coordinator of external affairs of the 61st board of T.S.V.'Jan Pieter Minckelers'. After I finished my Bachelor Chemical Engineering I wanted to do something extra besides just studying. I was mainly focusing on my soft skills and I was responsible for the collaborations the study association has with companies. Together with six other people we were responsible for the whole association. In my bachelor's degree I mainly focused on optimizing processes and inventive ways of retreiving of data from multiphase media reactors and columns. Next to that I also focused on programming and modeling.
