I completed my studies at Indiana Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and an Associate’s of Science in Accounting in December 2012.I interned at Victory House; which is a non-for-profit center for women in transition, as an accounting clerk. My duties at Victory House includes recording recipes into the general ledger, assembling profit/loss reports for each month and 90 day periods, creating statements of rent owned, and our yearly budget. I am currently employed with Johnson Controls at their Lakewood 2 facility in Holland, MI as a machine operator. My responsibilities are performing quality check on the finished weld parts after they are removed from the robotic welding cell and loading unfinished parts and removing finished welded parts from the welding cell. I check these parts by visually inspecting the welds, and placing them to a fixture that ensures that they parts will fit the customer’s specifications I have worked in retail for nearly 5 years in both food sales and consumer goods. I have learned how to deal with unruly customers with the best customer service possible, and how to solve customer’s problems when they can’t find a certain product on the sales floor. I also have some warehouse experiences in the beverage industry with fulfilling orders and packing orders. Additionally, I have worked in a manufacturing setting in a robotics factory and a furniture factory. In the robotics factory, my responsibilities were to maintain the cleanness of the fabrication area by removing welding dust, metal shaving and saw fillings, and to organize and mark parts needed for machines using an engraving machine to ensure that all parts were installed on the correct machine. Additional, I was involved with the Indiana Eta chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, and a student member of The Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM) and The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).
