About Dylan Roney

My two younger brothers and I grew up moving almost every two years. I loved moving, it energized me to know that a new experience was around the corner. Nine states and two countries later, my family found themselves in Northfield, MN. I grew up joining every extracurricular opportunity and leadership position available. My senior year, I was the president of my DECA chapter, Rotary Youth Leadership Award recipient and counselor. I was a representative for our Business Development board, a TA for the head office, a part of LOA (Life of an Athlete). I was an intern for the Chamber of Commerce, and I started a small contracting company. I am an extravert and serving people gives me more energy than anything in the world. My freshman year of college at K-State University started just the same as high school. Joining every club and opportunity to meet new people. I received the Chimes freshman honorary award, joined entrepreneurship club, Theta Xi fraternity, K-State Lacrosse team, and I received a scholarship when I placed 2nd in the K-State Entrepreneur Launch Competition. My freshman year summer, I was an in-person sales intern at UMFC. After I was chased off by guard dogs, and angry people with shotguns, I learned to get right to the point. My sophomore year of college, I continued with my clubs and added a leadership position in the Entrepreneurship club, I started a restaurant marketing company with some club members, and placed 2nd in the K-State Entrepreneur Launch Competition for the second year in a row. So close! The summer of my sophomore year, I decided to re-start my contracting company from high school. We grew the company to serve six towns, two cities, and won a contract for 147 Burger Kings. What I didn't know was that COVID-19 was right around the corner. My business closed, our college transitioned to online school, and I moved to Kansas City. While trying to focus on school, quarantined, my extraverted side was starving! I started a remote internship working for Conectrix and I focused on finetuning my sales/presenting skills. I currently work remotely for NQV8, assisting innovative entrepreneurs in the pet space. Helping improve life for our furry best friends.
