About Dylan Schrock

Hello! My name is Dylan Schrock and I am currently a first year at Wentworth Institute of Technology. I've previously studied engineering for 3 years at Minuteman Technical Vocational High School. 10 months of those 3 years I worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Sparx Hockey through Minuteman's co-op program. I've enjoyed learning about the incredible capabilities of engineering through both my in-class lessons and my hands-on industry experience. Outside of classes I love to design and create. I've been making things out of cardboard and PVC since I was a kid, and I remember when I got my first 3D printer it felt like the gates of possibility were flung wider than they ever had before. I've made countless props from movies and video games I love, and that has led me into the engineering field! My senior year capstone project was a 1:1 replica of Darth Vader's lightsaber that I spent half a year researching, designing, and iterating in SolidWorks before ultimately presenting it to a panel of judges live.
