Background

About Dylan Skurka

I am an educator, writer, and thinker passionate about distilling the value of philosophy and critical thinking. My time as an MA and PhD student has provided me with a broad understanding of philosophical traditions, from Ancient Greek philosophy to Existentialism. I’ve channelled this passion into published essays, film reviews, and poetry, using creative mediums to make complex ideas more relatable. With nearly a decade of teaching experience, I thrive at presenting course material in a meaningful way for my students. My empathetic and gentle approach fosters inquiry, encourages curiosity, and helps students build confidence in their thinking. I’m always open to conversations about philosophy, teaching, or creative projects. If you’d like to collaborate or share ideas, feel free to connect!
