University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduate - Bachelors of Education and Human Sciences During my final year at the university I began working at the Kindler Hotel; a local, boutique hotel, located in downtown Lincoln. Initially, I was hired to be a front desk clerk where I handled day-to-day tasks, most of which involved customer service - everything from answering guest questions/complaints, assisting guests with luggage, valet services and food & beverage service. In the spring, I began my final semester of student teaching at Lux Middle School, while continuing to work at the hotel. Following my graduation, I was offered the Property Care Manager position, which I accepted and began immediately. As Property Care Manager of the Kindler Hotel I oversee the housekeeping and maintenance of the hotel. This consists of 8 people in total - 6 housekeepers, 1 maintenance engineer, 1 assistant technician. Our daily tasks include cleaning, maintenance, organizing, and assisting guests. My staff and I work very hard in order to achieve a cleanliness rating of 4.9 stars - our average rating between the travel review websites. In addition to my standard duties, I assist other areas of the hotel when needed. I regularly assist guests with luggage, check-in/check-out process, food & beverage service, and any questions pertaining to their stay or the city of lincoln.
