I was building machine learning systems before "Machine Learning Engineer" became a job title. That's 14+ years of building a comprehensive skill set, covering every aspect of machine learning. I am a versatile AI/ML expert with deep experience building predictive models, recommendation and retrieval systems, agentic LLM workflows, data engineering pipelines, and various applications in natural language processing, computer vision, and deep learning. Well-versed in software architecture, design patterns, agile methodologies, and continuous integration tools, I believe that ML models should be well integrated into the tech stack AND the business metrics. I am an MLOps advocate, ensuring end-to-end management of impactful models, from hypothesis, development, serving, and monitoring. I believe in individual ownership, team trust, and rapid execution, to generate real-world value. I hold a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of the Philippines and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Ateneo de Manila University. I am comfortable in AWS, Databricks, or your local Docker builds. I enjoy working in PyTorch, Tensorflow, MLFlow, Airflow, Spark, and a lot of other cool tech.
