Background
About Dylan Vicha
I love puzzles and solving problems that actually matter. Long ago I learned that most combat disabled veterans had to struggle with housing after they almost gave their lives for our homes. So I googled “how to start a 501c3” and went to work creating and running Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors from scratch while juggling other start ups to make a living. Millions have been and continue to be raised and so far 25 custom free single family homes have been built and handed to mortgage free to my heroes. Problems not solved but now there is a nationwide nonprofit chipping away at it. Also a co-founder or board member, committee member of other nonprofits named Mission 2 Alpha, Marine Raider Foundation, PTSD Foundation of America, Phoenix Children’s Foundation and Fentanyl Fighter. On the for-profit side I’ve started multiple businesses like The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen, Clean Media (Audio Video Contractor who has built complex systems for most of the popular bars and restaurants in Arizona), Jared Allen’s Pro Bull Team (PBR’s first bull / bull rider team including the app and console video game licensed with the PBR called 8 to Glory) and my recent pride and joy Windom Security Strategies Today in Phoenix. I pitched the idea to create the first ever law enforcement “farm system” using private security guards solving problems in communities, without a gun or police powers, while gaining experience working with local police (potential future employers)… Windom is the only private company that is officially hired by local police departments and the first private security guard company in Arizona that uses the same body cameras, police radios and data software for police reports. With over 100 employees that mostly were transitioning military members interested in law enforcement and my state certified program Pathway to Law Enforcement I can honestly say that I will forever be proud of that accomplishment. Hardest business I have ever created but to see it working and making a positive difference in the community, with police recruiting, and the lives of the men and women working there it was definitely worth the blood, sweat and tears that it took for me to change that industry for the better.
