About Dylan Williamson

Growing up in rural South Carolina, I have been surrounded by agriculture my entire life, which has resulted in a great admiration for the industry. It has always been my desire to work in the field of agriculture. This would allow my contribution to the well being and advancement of the industry that I love. Currently I am furthering my knowlege of agriculture by pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Agricultural Mechanization and Business at Clemson University with a minor in agronomy. This major has provided me with coursework to cover a variety of important industry elements. For a little more than a year and a half I worked as a field assistant for a man named Jon Johnson who performed contract agricultural chemical research. This experience was a great educator for me on the operations of a farm. On the job, I was required to setup, maintain, and repair the irrigation system. Also, I performed maintenance and light repairs on the tractor and it's implements. In the field, I operated the equipment in operations such as disking, planting, and mowing. Lastly, since we were performing research, I collected data from the experiments including plot yields and the prevalance of disease and pests.
