About Dylan Wright

I was born three months early, along with my twin brother. I had numerous complications after birth, that lead to me having a hearing loss in both ears that requires me to wear hearing aids. Along with my twin brother, I also have two younger brothers.At Oshkosh West High School I was able to gain valuable experience to set me up for my future. As a two-sport varsity athlete in basketball and baseball, I was able to develop strong leadership, teamwork, and competitiveness skills. On the academic side of things, I was able to push myself and set myself up to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison, my dream school. My accomplishments included being a part of the O’Neil National Honor Society, graduating with a 3.8/4.0 on an unweighted scale, and finishing high school with over 50 college credits. Furthermore, I took Spanish all four years of high school, and was able to be involved in a two-week immersion trip in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where I stayed with a host family.After three and a half years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I graduated with a degree in Economics and a minor in Entrepreneurship. I choose to pursue this degree because I have always had an interest in how the economy works, both at the macro and micro level, and it combined well with my natural abilities in math. Since I self-funded my education, I took advantage of the advanced placement courses in high school, which eliminated some of my core requirements for my degree. Additionally, I strived to complete the degree program in a shorter period of time, of three and a half years. This is combined with working 25 to 30 hours a week.
