E. Katia Moritz, Ph.D, ABPP, is a licensed psychologist in the states of Florida, Utah, New York, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She is Board Certified in Cognitive and Behavioral Psychology and a Fellow of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. She serves as the Clinical Co-Director of the Neurobehavioral Institute (NBI) and the NBI Ranch, a residential supportive living facility. Dr. Moritz specializes in the treatment of severe anxiety, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. She is a member of both the Scientific/Clinical Advisory Board and the Diversity Council of the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation, and she serves on the advisory board of HAAPE (Helping Adults with Autism Perform and Excel). She is the author of Working with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in Children (Audio and Video Training Program), Forms for Helping Children with OCD, and Blink, Blink, Clop, Clop: An OCD Story Book – available in English and Spanish. Dr. Moritz and the NBI team provide treatment for Portuguese, Spanish, and English-speaking children, adolescents, and adults in their native language, taking into account their cultural backgrounds. She also consults with many international families and clinicians, and travels globally to supervise and train professionals. Her work includes parent training, family interventions, individual and group therapies, and the supervision of clinicians and postdoctoral residents through NBI’s APICC-approved training program. Together with Dr. Hoffman, Dr. Moritz leads the NBI team in delivering intensive outpatient treatment and overseeing the NBI Ranch, a residential supportive living experience for patients receiving care at NBI.
