Matthew’s approach to design is grounded in the belief that learning and designing are both iterative and collaborative processes. He brings a layered understanding to his design approach and how ideas evolve, by drawing from personal lived experiences, higher education, and real-world examples. He developed a strong belief in the power of clear communication—visually and verbally—and encourages the integration of analog and digital tools to foster more holistic problem-solving. Matthew sees design as both a discipline and a dialogue, and that lens has deeply informed his ability to work with clients, across teams, engage diverse perspectives, and support a culture of curiosity and care. with additional experience in teaching and mentorship, he sets out to create environments—whether in the studio, on stage, or in the field—where inquiry, trust, and shared ownership lead to meaningful results.
