Business Analyst / Senior Support Analyst - Responsible for fixing any issue that disrupts the application or system service delivery that our business users depend upon. I am required to provide both technical know-how and business understanding. Crucially, any issue that arises in a production environment requires immediate attention. My job requires that I must be able to communicate to the highest standards verbally, in writing, or electronically to both business and technical colleagues. I have an acute understanding of how other colleagues depend on our application and system services and I have the know-how to respond to that need. Technical Competencies - My core technical competencies includes: Business Analyst; Windows and Unix systems; SQL databases; Office applications; Investigative & diagnostic skills. Personal Attributes - In addition to the role described above I also provide online and class room based training. The class room based training is to adult further education students teaching them Excel from beginner level to advanced. I have written the entire course syllabus and course content. I have launched a supporting website for the students to easily access the content online. The online training is provided via Google+ on the Google Sheets Community page. Each week a new topic is posted via Google Docs and a follow-up video on the same topic is posted the following day on YouTube. The topics cover all aspects of Google Sheets from elementary subjects to script writing to provide additional functionality to the application. Further competencies include: cloud technologies; training; Excel & Google Sheets; JavaScript. Further attributes include: empathy with users and students; patience and understanding; communication skills and active listening.
