About Eamon Passey

I’m Eamon Passey, a recent graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where I earned a double major in Political Science and Global Affairs, with a minor in Chinese. I currently work in the U.S. House of Representatives in the Office of the Majority Whip, where I apply my academic background and global perspective to support effective policymaking. My passion for international affairs—particularly U.S-China relations—has been shaped by immersive experiences, including a semester in China, a summer program in Israel, and over six years living in South Asia. These opportunities have deepened my cultural understanding and reinforced my belief in the value of cross-cultural dialogue. I’ve contributed to policy research through internships at leading think tanks, published on international issues, and built proficiency in Mandarin Chinese to support cross-cultural communication. I'm especially motivated by the intersection of global affairs and domestic policy, and I seek opportunities to advance informed dialogue and evidence-based governance. My goal is to leverage both analytical insight and cultural competency in the service of effective public policy.
