I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer in both Windows NT4 and Windows Server and Pro. Very knowledgeable in Windows Server 2003. I have held the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification. This cert is only good for three years at a time, and it expired on me in Aug. 2004, but I still have the knowledge upstairs.I can evaluate an organization's networking security through a series of tests, and see where any security holes or leaks may exist. From that point on, detailed analysis will show the best way to plug those holes so hackers (correctly known in "the biz" as Malicious Computer Users) will be locked out and not be able to cause any damage. The technology is very cool, but security is an ongoing and never-ending battle, and you must always stay on top of it. As they say, the only really secure computer is one that is unplugged and buried six feet underground. There are always new viruses released into "the wild", and you need to be on the lookout for these bugs.I am on a crusade to stop the dangers of having notebook computers or USB "thumb drives" lost or stolen. I am a reseller of a firm on the West Coast of software that installs onto a notebook computer or thumb dirve. It sits there, and does not interfere with normal work done on the machine. But if something should happen, and the notebook or thumb drive is lost or stolen, you tell the website about it. The website then furnishes you with on on-screen clickable button, that lets you remotely destory all sensitive data on the notebook or thumb drive! Saves money on legal fees, embarrasment, company reputation. Also provides the option of having the software email home where it is.
