About Earl Ruberts

In Information Technology, nothing stays the same very long, which is to say an IT Professional needs to always keep an eye on what is going on in the industry. IT is my passion and here are some examples of what drives me: Challenge of problem solving The absolute wonderful thing about IT is that a single problem can have multiple solutions, however not every solution will work in a given environment. In other words, what works best in one environment may not work in another and the challenge is to find the right solution that will solve a given problem in a given environment. The Why I'm not satisfied with knowing that when error "X" comes up, perform task "Y" to fix it. I want to know what caused error "X" and seek out ways to prevent it from happening, or better yet, automate fixing the problem when it occurs. Likewise, I want to have a deeper understanding of various technologies and how they interoperate with one another as it allows for exploring how to make them more adaptable or efficient Teaching Teaching provides a conduit in which I can provide others with my combined knowledge and experience and in return learn from others. The teaching process alone provides a platform in which it refreshes my current knowledge and as others around me increase their knowledge, I'm compelled to learn more in order to stay ahead and remain competitive.
