About Ebone Hennings

I am currently a full-time lead teacher at King Center Charter School. As an educator I am dedicated to helping all children feel affirmed and reach their maximum potential through the use of developmentally appropriate practices and culturally responsive teaching. I am interested in growing my professional network and finding opportunities where my skills and classroom experience can be an asset I am also a candidate for a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Buffalo State College (expected May 2021). In the past I completed two terms of National Service through the AmeriCorps ABLE (America Builds Lives through Education) program. During my term of service I worked with Kindergarten and collaborated with the reading department. I have also completed several community service projects, one of my favorite projects was the Helping Hands Have No Color drive. At the completion of this project my students and our school community had created more than 50 bags filled with food and toiletries for the homeless of Western New York. I was also employed at The Summit Center located in Getzville, New York. Being an employee of this company for almost three years taught me so much and brought me so much joy. It is here where I gained my CPR and First Aid skills from the American Heart Association, as well as knowledge of basic American Sign Languauge.
