About Ebru Topcu

I’m a cancer researcher and PhD candidate at the University of Zurich & University Hospital Zurich, with a strong passion for translational research and making science actionable. My work focuses on understanding TP53-mutant clonal hematopoiesis and the evolution of leukemia -combining complex in vivo models with a deep curiosity for how early disease mechanisms can inform smarter therapies. Outside the lab, I serve as Director of Operations at Nucleate Switzerland, a non-profit organization empowering early-stage biotech founders by connecting them with world-class mentors, industry partners, and business training. I work closely with scientists, founders, and mentors to help turn cutting-edge academic ideas into scalable biotech ventures. I’m especially interested in opportunities that sit at the intersection of science and strategy -whether that’s in R&D, medical affairs, translational science, or innovation management within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. Curious by nature, proactive by habit, and always excited to collaborate with others building the future of healthcare.
