About Ebru Uzunoglu

Dr. Uzunoglu joined the Chair of Marketing Communications and Public Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, in January 2024 as a full professor. She is a member of the Research Centre of Social Informatics at the same faculty and is also affiliated with the Public Relations and Advertising Department at Izmir University of Economics. Previously, she served as Dean of the Faculty of Communication at IUE (2018-2024) and led the PRA department for eight years prior. She was a visiting scholar at the Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications at Northwestern University (2016-2017). She has published papers in leading journals such as Public Relations Review, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Marketing Communications, and the International Journal of Information Management. She co-editored ‘Integrated Communication in the Post-Modern Era’ with Prof. Philip J. Kitchen and has contributed chapters to various international books. Uzunoglu has served as a coordinator or researcher in several national and international scientific projects. Before her academic career, she gained 12 years of industry experience as a marketing communication specialist and product manager.
