Established a fully functional lab facility, managing new advanced technology laser divisions, manufacturing, sales / marketing, and P&L of multi-million dollar projects. Deep knowledge and experience in state-of-the-art lasers used for medical, scientific, industrial and military industries. Developed over 75+ new solid state lasers and EO (electro-optics) products. Developed world’s first commercially available 1, 2 & 3 micron lasers and a series of tunable titanium sapphire lasers for medical and scientific research. Developed “first in the world” lasers – Tri-Lase, a 3 wavelength laser for tattoo removal; the Crystalase, the first Erbium YAG used in dermatology and plastic surgery; and the Holmium:YAG laser for use in angioplasty, orthopedics, and basic medical research. Ed graduated from the University of Florida with a BSEE.
