About Ed Antoja

Writer, producer, and director trained at the New York University, the Film School of Cuba, and the UCLA. At the early age of 26, I founded La Diferencia - my own agency and production company - from where I create and produce advertising campaigns for brands and entertainment projects for film and TV. I have directed the feature documentaries "When a dream comes true"—produced with the participation of TV3 and currently available on Disney + and Netflix— and "Empatía", which premiered in theaters across Spain, France, and Latin America, won the Audience Award at the Greenpeace Film Festival, and was broadcast on Starz (USA), RTP (Portugal), TV3 (Spain), Señal Colombia, and other networks. In 2024, I directed the short film "Donde se quejan los pinos", featuring Ramón Barea, Francesc Orella, and Almudena Amor in the cast. I am a member of the Spanish Film Academy, the Catalan Film Academy and serve on the board of PAC (Audiovisual Producers of Catalonia). Additionally, I have been working as a mentor and consultant for audiovisual projects—both in scriptwriting and executive production. Currently, I am in the financing stage for "Ni les mosques", my first fiction feature film, which has already received support from TV3 and ICEC and is represented by Filmax as its distributor and international sales agent. I am also developing several TV and film projects; among them, the series "Antojados", selected at Iberseries (2023) and Conecta Fiction (2024), where it won an award for Best Pitch.
