About Ed Baker

Broadway Malyan is a global architecture, urbanism and design practice with 16 offices across world centres with 500+ sector experts. Ed is a Director of Broadway Malyan based in Singapore. He has responsibilities for growing Broadway Malyan's business in Asia including the core, integrated services of architecture, masterplanning, landscape architecture, interior design and graphics and branding. Ed is a qualified master planner, urban designer and landscape architect. A talented and creative designer, his extensive experience includes a lead role on a number of high profile projects. He has worked on major development projects across South East Asia, Europe, India, China, Africa, the Middle East and North America. From the Singapore office, Ed has lead projects across the region including developments in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, India, China and Japan. His passion is the creation of sustainable places whether it is new cities and townships, the regeneration of urban districts, designing city parks or the planning of eco-resorts. While Ed’s specialism is strategic urban design and planning, he has experience of working on projects from the master planning to construction stages. When he gets the time, Ed speaks at conferences on a range of urban design related topics including sustainable development, urban branding and placemaking. Ed studied at universities in the UK and the Netherlands where he obtained his Masters degrees in Urban Design and Landscape Architecture and Bachelor degree in Human Geography.
