About Ed Bevan

Starting with Alcatel Submarine Networks during the internet boom of the late ‘90s, I quickly learned most of the technical requirements for a successful submarine cable installation. During the telecommunications slump of 2003 – 2008, various alternative opportunities presented themselves, including sportswear, environmental matters, and a move to Dubai, where I joined Seacor Environmental Services, managing and maintaining the oil and hazardous material response equipment. Since departing Seacor, I have successfully completed a number of short- and longer-term offshore cable installation project roles. Ranging from deck foreman and cable engineer offshore, where the role is mainly practical and hands-on, operating the machinery, and working physically, to Project Manager of complex offshore installation projects, where the approach is more cerebral and removed. Personally, I am a great team player, practically focused, experienced in managing complex operational teams. I am self reliant, Exceptionally self sufficient and decisive, with a thirst for knowledge and seeking out new locations, experiences and challenges. An excellent communicator, I am skilled in delivering business presentations and training packages.
