About Ed Blakeborough
Ed Blakeborough is a single father of six children. Mr. Blakeborough takes a great amount of pride in his family. He enjoys camping and fishing with his children during the summer and recently tried snowboarding with them in the winter. Ed is a member of Leq’a:mel First Nation which is a member of Sto:Lo Nation. In April 2017 he graduated with a Bachelor of science degree with a joint major in mathematics and economics and a minor in management. Mr. Blakeborough worked for six years in the Math Help Center at TRU choosing this job over an offer to work in the Economics Help Center. He also ran many study groups for courses. Ed took it upon himself to mentor new students using his former life experiences to help ensure success during their time at university. Ed also obtained a Master’s of Science in environmental economics and management beginning in September 2017 and ending in August 2019 with hopes of a career helping Aboriginal communities achieve growth and development economically while taking effects on the environment into account.
