Started working at age 8 by shoveling snow off neighbors' driveways. Mowed lawns, shoveled more driveways and delivered thousands of newspapers before I could drive. Moved to Singapore at 16. Graduated from the Singapore American School before attending Regent's College in London. Earned a BA (economics) from Denison University. Played 4 years of varsity soccer for Denison as a back-up goalkeeper. Launched and operated "The Denison Experience' and 'Savings on The Hill', and was elected Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper. Survived 2 years as a Dean Witter public finance analyst in NYC. Walked down 59 flights of WTC2 with a watch light after the February 1993 bombing. Founded Singapore's first bagel company, was the first employee at Singapore's first micro-brewery, and spent the late 1990s as part of NYC Web 1.0. Completed coursework toward an MBA at Case Western, and was awarded Crain's "40 Under 40". Finished 3 marathons before age 35. Lived and worked on four continents. Margaret, my 1965 Series IIA Land Rover, has claimed me as her beloved since 1997.
