About Ed Gonzalez

I am an educational consultant with more than 40 years in K-12 public education. My life-long learning is evidenced by the dates of my three university degrees: Bachelors in Political Science (1981), Masters in Educational Administration and Doctorate in Educational Leadership (2020). I am a student of history and geopolitics, and I am a collector of timeless quotes that I find through my extensive readings. I am also an author, poet, and musician, and have a deep interest in culture and the arts. My original music, played on piano, can be found on my YouTube channel:@EdGonzalez-pi9iy My first school job was as a custodian, and I retired 40 years later as a school superintendent. I received local, state, and national recognition, and was honored by the School Library Journal in 2003 as their National Administrator of the Year. Today, I consult on a part-time basis, primarily assisting small public school districts in securing funding for their facilities. After 20 years in school district administration and 15 years in the classroom, my educational experience is extensive. I continue serving my community, and have been active with the Girl Scouts of Central California South, the Central Valley Latino Giving Circle, and the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. I am currently the Board chair of an innovative charter school, the Golden Charter Academy, the nation's first Environmental Stewardship public school.
