About Ed Jagger

Ed Jagger and Francis Shaw set up Shaw & Jagger Architects in 2010 to allow them to work on a variety of complex projects, often heritage-led, that did not fit well with the more commercial practices they had previously worked for. Ed has been involved with a number of new and existing country houses in sensitive locations in recent years and enjoys working on challenging buildings. Ed has undertaken all aspects of the design process from initial concepts to site based project management of large projects. He is interested in the Arts & Crafts movement and designed the first above ground Greenbelt Paragraph 55 house in the country to be granted permission at committee level in this style. Having spent many years working on historic buildings he is keen on interpreting and adapting traditional details to meet current regulations particularly with regard to the thermal performance of the new build country houses he has worked on. When not working, Ed spends time visiting historic buildings with his family.
