WHAT DRIVES ME: Engaging with senior-level executives to help them identify, assess, and report on their risks. The most important aspect of my role is to help bring a discussion of risk into decision-making and how these risks fit within the company’s risk appetite. It is this ongoing monitoring of risk-taking activities and risk exposures that helps focus me. THE VALUE I BRING: I have been fortunate to have learned my craft from some of the most amazing risk practitioners, real pioneers who have helped define the modern view of risk management. Throughout my career, I have had a solid track record of success in delivering best-in-class risk management frameworks. Having a positive impact is something I continually strive to deliver. HOW I BUILD SUCCESS: I’m a great believer in the KISS principle (“Keep It Simple, Stupid”) and always endeavor to break complex issues down into simple, manageable building blocks. Within my career, I have had various challenges thrown at me, but found that success can be found if we keep our goal in mind and work hard to keep our solutions and outcomes simple. WHAT I AM MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT: Bringing ideas and perspectives into risk discussions to improve outcomes. I also enjoy reporting, especially identifying what is important out of the avalanche of data. WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOU: Developing, implementing, administering, training and maintaining all aspects of the organization’s risk management framework, including establishing an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program and/or Operational Risk Management (ORM) program. Ongoing monitoring of the organization's risk-taking. Relevant, meaningful, and timely risk reporting to senior management and the board or risk committee, as appropriate.
