About Ed Oswandel

As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Assurant, I apply my engineering skills and leadership ability to oversee the refurbishment and logistical processing of cell phones, tablets, and hot spots. I have been in this role for over 18 years, leading a dynamic team of six engineers and collaborating with cross-functional departments to deliver high-quality products and services to our clients. My core competencies include lean manufacturing, quality analysis, process improvement, data analysis, project management, and effective communication. I have successfully implemented several initiatives that reduced costs, improved productivity, and increased customer satisfaction, such as merging two manufacturing facilities, developing and evaluating repair line manufacturing methods, and introducing a device test tool. I am passionate about applying my technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to optimize processes and services, and empowering my team members to achieve their goals.
