About Ed Plut

I have over 40 years of Maintenance experience, focusing my past 25 years on management of Maintenance systems that incorporate Preventative and Reactive Maintenance systems. I started my career as a millwright in the steel manufacturing industry, moving onto the tool trades in the automotive industry. I have led engineering and maintenance teams during process improvement and troubleshooting activities throughout my career. My hands-on experience and leadership has provided the foundation for my ability to implement Enterprise Asset Management Systems that are lean in nature and effective by design. One of my key successes has been to improve predictive maintenance globally within GM and upgrade their tools they use to improve machine uptime. I developed a partnership between GM & KCF Technologies using their hardware and analytics that had dramatic improvements on machine uptime and productivity. The future of maintenance globally in all industries will require full implementation of these new predictive technologies.
