About Ed Rees
As a recent graduate from Portland State University, with a degree ins electrical engineering, I am lucky to have found a position with Black and Veatch that aligns with my undergraduate focus on power systems; generation, transmission, and protections. My experience in the field since graduating has reinforced an idea I developed at university; the degree I obtained did not train me to be an engineer it provided a vocabulary so that I can speak to engineers. It is problem solving and the practical application of theory that develops us into engineers.
