About Ed Sims

I have been in the nuclear medicine industry as a technologist and as a medical health physicist for 40 years. I've had the great luxury of working in larger departments and starting a one camera hospital department as a technologist early in my career. That background in nuclear medicine and radiology has undoubtedly assisted me in the last two plus decades in my current profession. Having an intimate understanding of radiology departments and the practice of nuclear medicine technology allows for an easier dialog with the technologists and administrators when I consult. My 20+ years with Associates in Medical Physics, LLC (a national consulting firm) enhanced my regulatory, licensing, consulting and teaching skills as I consulted across many states and dealt with many regulatory agencies. I have found that one of my greater skillsets is communication and I judiciously move information up and down the ladder, as needed. I strive to have open dialogs with the staff and to the individuals I consult. More is gained in those moments than you find by perusing through records.
