I’ve joined LinkedIn to collaborate and share expertise with the community by offering specific insights gleaned from executive leadership successes in both the military and civilian sectors. Additionally I am happy to provide informal networking advice, guidance and contacts across all facets of executive leadership; and business development and maximizing profit by leveraging operational best practices. Most networkers find my background as an Air Force fighter pilot who has a doctorate in physics, and functions as chief technologist for huge defense contractors and start-up consulting operations very unique. Serving as a university professor, military officer, and executive within Fortune 200 companies provides me with an interesting perspective on the relationship between leadership, management, and the achievement of organizational success in both the fiscal and personnel spheres. One of the comments I hear most frequently is, “You don’t talk like a physics Ph.D! You talk like a real person.” One of my most unusual traits is in helping others to develop their potential by leveraging technical and leadership expertise while communicating in everyday language.
