Highlights of 2021 -(1) working on acquisition of $105M building and adjacent $4M building for UT Austin,(2) secured lease for data processing center for UT Southwestern,(3) continued working on real estate aspects of $340M biomedical research center in Houston for UTMDACC and UTHSC-H,(4) worked on managing our outside lawyer relationships, and (5) worked on multiple leases, land purchases and related real estate interests for many other UT institutions. I retain a dual appointment as an Assistant General Counsel in the Office of General Counsel and a Senior Real Estate Officer in the Real Estate Office of Business Affairs. In 2021 I served on the Planning Committee for UT Law School's Land Use Conference and Bernard Dow Leasing Conference. At the Leasing Conference I will speak on "Office Sector and COVID: New Normal or Just New?" with Rivers Taylor and Nena Martin of Gensler Architects. I also was a speaker at UT System's Office of General Counsel's 2021 Annual Boot Camp. On November 15, 2019, I spoke on "State Leasing" at UT Austin Law School's Leasing Webinar. In 2021, I became a member of Austin's Urban Land Institute's Transit-Oriented Development Counci. I also have 138 book reviews posted on Amazon under a nom de blog.
