My research interest focuses on fate and transport of chemical and microbial constitutes in the aquatic environment. As the YRITWC science director, my focus is to increase First Nation and Tribes community-based water quality monitoring to measure contaminant concentrations in soil and water; to evaluate chemical transport via hydrological pathways, seasonal changes and Arctic and sub-Arctic environmental settings. Determining anthropogenic and natural pollutants in the Yukon River will help to develop effective policy by understanding how human and environmental impacts affect water quality.
