About Eddie Chung

As a Partner of the accounting and advisory firm, BDO, I provide business and taxation advisory services to a diverse range of clients. These services include tax and accounting compliance services, as well as more specialised services in the following areas- tax planning- transactional tax matters- taxation audits, objections, appeals, and private ruling applications- business and investment structuring and restructuring- acquisitions and mergers- succession and estate planning- review of organisational finance function- other ad hoc finance-related special projects- corporate governance; and - strategic planning. I act for a number of high wealth clients as their trusted adviser and provide them with a full suite of services that are supported by other divisions of the Firm. I specialise in the real estate and construction sector, which includes property construction and development, commercial and residential property investment, managed property funds and trusts, real estate agencies, and other property support services (eg, architects, surveyors, town planners, engineers, etc). Given my board experience, I regularly attend client board meetings in the capacity as a board member, an advisory board member, or a trusted adviser. I also facilitate director courses on finance and corporate governance regularly for the Australian Institute of Company Directors. I am a current director of the Real Estate Institute of Queensland and Brisbane Convention Centre Hotel (Development) Ltd. I have been involved in the not-for-profit sector for more than 20 years and have been a chair, director, and treasurer, as well as the chair of a number of finance, audit, and risk committees, on a number of boards. I am also an accredited MBTI Certified Practitioner.
