About Eddie Phiri

I’m a Backend Engineer with over 6 years of experience building secure, scalable, and mission-critical systems in financial and global sectors. My expertise spans Python, Elixir, PHP, and Node.js, with hands-on contributions to TypeScript-based services and RESTful, GraphQL, and SOAP APIs. I’ve led backend architecture, optimized SQL databases, and delivered seamless integrations with government agencies, mobile network operators, and regulatory platforms. I thrive in fast-moving, remote-first teams where clear communication and autonomy fuel innovation. Currently leading a team of developers at Probase Group, I’m focused on designing backend systems that empower users and deliver high-value outcomes at scale. I’m passionate about solving real-world problems with technology—and I’m especially excited about opportunities like Deel that push the boundaries of global work. I thrive in collaborative teams, enjoy solving complex system challenges, and stay up to date with emerging technologies to drive innovation.
