About Eddy Boskamp
Internationally known and recognized RF antenna engineer and scientist. Active in MRI since 1983. My work is publicly available: 110 publications and abstracts and 59 patents to date (2017). Work interests: R&D of new concepts in Medical Imaging hardware, and RF antennas, hardware in general. I have been wearing many different hats during my long career, including Director of Engineering, Chief Scientist, Principal Scientist, Principal Engineer, VP of Engineering, several Adjunct professorships at major universities. I am a hands on engineer, i.e. I do not enjoy sitting behind a desk 100% of the time. I like the lab environment where I can be actively involved with making and testing new prototypes. I also enjoy teaching, either in front of a classroom, or in the lab. I have been mentor for several PhD students who now enjoy successful careers themselves. Other qualifications: Proficient in EM field analysis and simulation using Ansys HFSS or Remcom xFDTD, Matlab, Analysis and problem solving Languages: Dutch, English, German, French: fluent, Japanese: basic Awards: Fellow of the ISMRM (2010)
