About Eddy Verstraete

I am fascinated by the impact how digital transformation is lifting business interactions to a next level, shaping a new era wherein both business and humans (customers) are converged by technology in a way it becomes unsophisticated native. Or what does it take to maintain a pole position. Started in the ICT area and shifted towards customer relations, I bridge technology with commerce to exploit the potential from both. Talking the IT lingo and at the same time understanding the technological requirementss and customer needs facilitates communication and solution delivery with colleagues, suppliers and customers. Customer centricity is a keyword in whatever I do. Almost no product is self-selling, at last customers are the verb. Cost effectiveness and profitability are the auxiliary verbs. The relation management is linking them together. Businesses considering all three areas as peers have my attention. I am, and like, working in an international context and adopt standardization of processes and solutions. But in addition to the challenges and opportunities this brings, I also care about the attention that is needed to really support local business or market requirements, just because each local market can only deliver outstanding results when the local customer and his commercial context is kept in mind. I am also convinced that putting solutions into the market first and setting industry standards in a changing world (having the first proposal) pays off, despite all efforts it takes. I like vision, strategy and making things happen. And organisations that work, together.
