About Eder Gambeta

During my Bachelor, I studied anxiety-like behavior associated to a model of type 1 diabetes induced by streptozotocin. I also developed a project to understand the relationship of pain and anxiety in a model of facial carcinoma in rats induced by Walker-256 cells. In my Masters I kept investigating pain and anxiety behaviors in tumor-bearing rats, as well as the treatment with Pregabalin, and as a side project I investigated anxiety- and depressive-like behaviors in an animal model of trigeminal neuralgia induced by constriction of the infraorbital nerve. I am investigating during my PhD the mechanism of action of two Cav3.2 blockers and the role of this channel in an animal model of trigeminal neuralgia, as well as, I am analyzing brain circuits related to pain in this condition.
