About Edgar Torres

Dr. Edgar Torres, Ph.D, earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, conducting research in Process Analytical Technologies. He also earned a M.Eng. and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He is a Graduate School Professor at the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico in the Engineering Management and Manufacturing Engineering Programs. Dr. Edgar Torres is an Entrepreneur himself and is the President and founder of Escalate Sciences, a specialized science based consulting company that provides services to top Global Healthcare Companies. At the Polytechnic University, he teaches Entrepreneurship to the new generation of Engineering Graduate Students. He fosters global perspectives by integrating the engineering/ scientific fields with the business/entrepreneur skills. This integration, “Scientific Entrepreneurship”, is needed to drive the innovation that will enable new businesses, capital and employment for our human talent within the scientific/engineering fields.
