About Edi Sousa

I've always been passionate about three things: learning, sports, and the world - and its people. Sports allowed me to join two of those passions, as I was able to see the world and meet different people all around. Also, it was only natural that would pursue further education in International Relations as well as look for opportunities to develop my skills in this area of knowledge. At the Portuguese Navy, I was able to develop my strategic thinking, as my main mission was to design and coordinate the implementation of framework programs regarding the cooperation between the Portuguese Navy and its allied navies. This position was also instrumental in the development of my leadership skills, diplomatic sense as well as critical thinking, as I had to constantly analyze information to support decision-making. At Nova University Lisbon my mission is to help international students pursuing higher education to find their home in this prestigious, young, and multicultural university. As such, I'm continuing to exercise my passion for the world - and its people, now in the higher education industry.
