About Edin Mekic

For close to almost three decades I have been helping organisations of all sizes solve numerous challenges by architecting and implementing solutions that merge people, processes and technology. This far in my career, I can be proud of a steady record of successful projects, customer relationships, partner commitments and a multi-million revenue stream.I performed both in management and senior engineering roles. Interacting with professionals on many levels helped me understand every aspect of business and tune my interpersonal and communication skills. In my management roles, I led a business unit for a specific product line or a team of professionals gathered around a certain project. As an architect, my activities involved conducting technical surveys, discussing business challenges with both technical and management teams, designing appropriate solutions and presenting them in a simple and effective manner. As an engineer and often the project manager, I would precisely scope the works, execute the build and manage the project lifecycle to handover. Upon successful completion of many projects, in most cases customers do ask me provide advanced support where needed.My primary focus at the moment is enterprise-scale IT designs of tiered, composable, converged and hyper-converged server, storage, security and backup systems. My field of expertise is cyber resilience and disaster recovery. Throughout my projects I have successfully incorporated solutions from various vendors like Microsoft, VMware, Dell, EMC, HPE, IBM, Cisco, RSA, Gemalto (do check the project list).I also act as a consultant and technical speaker for the above vendors and many more. I enjoy presenting various technology advancements and project achievements via public or specialized events.And yes, a long awaited dream is coming true: I am putting as much effort as I can to succeed in the woodworking trade. Self-taught all the way. Like every start, it is going slow, but many lessons are learned along the way. Soon, there will be a trademark to be proud of.
