About Edit Somogyi

I am passionate about almost every kind of natural way to stay or get healthy - most importantly the role of food intake and diet. I strongly believe in that Nature always gives us remedy for our ailments we only need to search for it or rediscover these remedies if they were buried under centuries of human so called "knowledge". As Edison said "The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will instruct his patient in the care of human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease." Yes, prevention is everything and I am currently working on that how to find my way to spread this knowledge to as many people as possible. Beside this I am a believer of life long learning, this is why I am looking forward to find a postdoctoral position, where I can lean more about obesity, nutrition and diabetes and at the same time use my knowledge to contribute however small amount to this research. I also love exercise - moving your body gives you so much not just in terms of physical exercise and obvious health benefits but also mentally and emotionally. The one who finds the type of exercise (s)he loves can move with ease from one life situation to the next be it challenge or just simply a new way of living. I want to help people who lack the basic necessities and I hope to do so with all of my present and future acquired knowledge, be in the developing world or anywhere I happen to live. I know that prevention is the foundation of human health and I hope to use my skills to translate scientific knowledge to everyday use to make it reality for everyone.
