About Edith Chan

In 2024, Edith spent a year in Jamaica "sharing skills for a better future" with Cuso International and Abilities Foundation. Abilities Foundation is a social enterprise focused on developing vocational and life skills for People with Disabilities. Edith worked in collaboration with Abilites Foundation to build capacity for future development that is equitable and sustainable. Edith is otherwise a senior manager in Class Action Administration. Previously she was a manager in the Financial Crime Practice and assisted on the national Security and Justice sector. In the Class Action Administration group, she develops and operationalizes protocols to manage landmark Settlements. Through continually evolving processes and adapting data to the needs of stakeholders she integrates stakeholder relations and needs with reporting to class counsel, claimants, representatives and the government. Her prior work involved financial crime investigations (including Anti-Money Laundering), risk assessments and compliance; and assisting litigators and auditors in the consideration of fraud. She is a CPA of Ontario and holds a CA from Australia. In Canada’s Forensics division, she has performed Anti-Money Laundering (AML) work for a major international financial institute and has conducted audit fraud assist files, compliance program assessments, litigation and investigative cases for commercial, Not For Profit and also First Nation clients. She has over four years of experience in Deloitte Australia’s Assurance and Advisory division where she assisted in managing audit teams for public and private companies, including leading a project on procurement fraud analysis for a major telecommunications company. She was also the Deloitte Sydney Impact Day lead and assisted in the BC Canada office United Way Campaign.
