Background
About Edith Gorriti
Some of the most impactful ideas in my life came from unexpected moments. Over the past two decades, I’ve had the privilege of working in an international context, helping teams and companies generate change and transform ideas into measurable results. I’ve always been driven by the desire to bring ideas to life, to test possibilities, which led me to work with SIT, where we focus on building systematic, innovative solutions. For the past 10+ years at SIT, I've guided organizations through a systematic approach to innovation. Like running a marathon, it’s not just about starting strong; it's about keeping pace, adjusting along the way, and pushing through when things get tough. With SIT’s methodology, I help teams generate creative solutions that are sustainable, scalable, and solve complex challenges with structured, repeatable yet adaptable processes. My journey into innovation wasn’t by accident. It’s rooted in years of study — in organizational theory, creativity, intelligence, and behaviors — and a passion for finding new ways to solve problems. It also grew out of the persistence I developed through my love of sports. I’m a long-distance runner and have been training for years, averaging over 100 km a week. Prior to running, I practiced martial arts, which instilled in me a deep sense of discipline, focus, and resilience. The same discipline, consistency, and focus required to run a marathon or train in martial arts are what I bring to my work. When I’m training or competing, I’m always learning something new about resilience, flexibility, and the value of a well-thought-out strategy. And of course, about discipline and consistency. I believe innovation is not just about groundbreaking ideas — it’s about creating a sustainable culture, one that encourages creativity and risk-taking while also grounding it in structure and discipline. That’s what I strive to do, both in my professional work and personal life: keep running, keep learning, and keep pushing toward that next finish line.
