About Edith Johnston

As a child, I spent hours on end immersed in books of logic puzzles and number games. That is why I love what I do. Although perhaps not a formal logic puzzle, trying to finding patterns and meaning in masses of data, or even trying to find the right tools or processes to do so, or the right code to use these tools - it’s all the same kind of challenge that fascinated me so endlessly growing up. I recently graduated from the Metis Data Science Bootcamp, a 12-week immersive data science portfolio development course, where I not only completed a number of data analysis projects in Python (described in more detail under Experience), but also learned the theory and algorithms involved in such processes as regression, decision trees, cluster analysis, topic modeling, neural networks, and more, as well as how to use a wide array of data science tools, such as SQL, Scikit-learn, Pandas, Tensorflow, Tableau, and more. Additionally, I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Mathematics, received from the University of New Mexico in 2019. I am currently looking for employment as a data analyst or data scientist in the Bay Area.
