About Edith Yoder

I became the first executive director of Bridge of Hope National in April 2002 after serving as executive director of Bridge of Hope Lancaster and Chester Counties since 1990. I lead the organization as we launched Bridge of Hope from a local ministry to a national organization with 20 locations in 12 states. I authored The Mentor's Resource Guide, a training tool which helps equip caring Christians for an effective ministry of friendship with homeless families. Additionally, I co-edited Amazing Hope, the story of Bridge of Hope's first ten years of serving homeless families and have written numerous non-profit manuals on nonprofit issues for Bridge of Hope. I have a Master's degree in Adult and Organizational Development from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, VA. I also studied in the Peace Studies program at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. In 2012, I was honored to be named “alumna of the year” by Lancaster Mennonite High School (Lancaster, PA) for my advocacy on behalf of homeless single mothers and children over the past 20 years.
